Eric Bloomquist Recognized for Nine Years of Service
to the CFEP Board of Directors
Community Futures East Parkland would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to Eric Bloomquist, who has completed three full terms, a total of nine years, on the CFEP Board of Directors.
Eric joined the board in 2016, representing the Town of Bashaw as well as Ponoka and Camrose County. During his time with CFEP, Eric provided steady leadership, thoughtful insight, and a clear commitment to supporting rural communities and small business development across the region.
Professionally, Eric is the Managing Partner of CashChem Ltd. and the CashChem Group, where he plays a key role in marketing, product development, and business strategy. His background spans the agriculture, energy, and financial sectors, with a focus on building strong partnerships and delivering meaningful results for clients and communities alike. In addition to his professional work, Eric is an active community volunteer, particularly in the area of sports.
As a gesture of appreciation, Community Futures East Parkland presented Eric with an honorarium to donate to the charity or organization of his choice. Eric chose to direct his donation to the Ponoka Rising Sun Clubhouse Society, an organization committed to supporting adults living with mental illness through community programming, employment supports, and peer-to-peer connection.
In the photo, Eric (far right) is joined by CFEP General Manager Sherry Lynn Twa (to Eric’s left), CFEP Board Chair Lisa Smith (far right in the photo), and Amanda Henderson, Manager of Ponoka Rising Sun Clubhouse (to the left of Sherry Lynn). Also pictured are members of the Ponoka Rising Sun Clubhouse who were on hand to help celebrate the occasion.
