Ron McIntosh Honoured for Nine Years of Service to Community Futures East Parkland
After nearly a decade of dedicated service, Ron McIntosh has completed his final term on the Community Futures East Parkland (CFEP) Board of Directors. In recognition of his contribution, CFEP presented Ron with an honorarium to donate to the charity or organization of his choice.

Ron chose to donate the $450 honorarium to the Alix Public Library, where he has long been an active supporter and volunteer. On April 22, 2025, Ron presented the donation to Library Board Member Cheryl Sydor and Library Manager Terry Fehr. Joining in the celebration were Tim Besuijen, Mayor of the Village of Alix, and John Ireland, Library Board Member and Lacombe County Councillor.
Ron joined the CFEP Board in 2016 and has represented the Villages of Alix and Clive as well as Lacombe County for the past nine years. A retired business owner and former operator of Ember Graphics in Stettler, Ron has built a strong legacy of community leadership, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism throughout the region.
“Ron’s insight, leadership, and ongoing support of rural development have made a lasting impact on our board and the communities we serve,” said Chris Yaremchuk, CFEP Economic Development Officer. “His commitment to giving back is reflected not only in his years of service, but in his continued support of local organizations like the Alix Public Library.”
The CFEP Board and staff thank Ron for his service and wish him all the best in his continued involvement in the community.
